Baking Lunar New Year Cookies 2012

wondering what I been up to these day? As you can see the tittle of my post, you can guess what was happening, right! Yes!! I been busy baking!!
But first of all let me wish all my faithful readers, friends and family "Gong Xi Fa Cai"..Wishing you and family have a Prosperous,Happy and Health Dragon Year!! 龙年快乐!年年有餘!!

can you guess what I been cooking using the brass mold?

and using rice flour and corn flour?

if you guess it's honeycomb or beehive cookies, you're right!!
in Malay we called as kuih loyang or kuih rose
if you would like to know the recipe, just hop over to my other blog
beside making kuih rose ,I also make my own jerky pork or in Hokkian we called "bak kwa"..this year I'm more adventure.I mean the quantity...
instead of pound I increase to 4 kilos...
if you like to know how this homemade "bak kwa" made, hop over to my other blog!!

the only downside is I added to much thick or black soy sauce..should add more red color instead..

today I bake the last 2 type of cookies.
when I blog hopping I saw many popular blogger praise Melt In Mouth German Cookies..I adapted this recipe from ??? well,I still didn't post this cookies recipe at my other blog yet..be patient..give me few days please..
and the last one is Pineapple tart..I also get this creative idea  and recipe from another popular blogger....will post a link when the recipe is up at my other blog..

look like porcupine,right?
maybe my skill is not up to expectation yet!!

can I said it's look like a pineapple? enjoy!! and Happy Chinese New Year 2012!!

Seeing all the cookies everyone made make me sad as I won't be celebrating CNY this year. No time to make anything because of the move and will be celebrating the first few days of CNY at the hotel. Anyway, hope you have a wonderful celebrataion with your family and friends. Keong Hee Huat Cai!!

Kung Hei Fatt Choy, Lesley! You make me drool over the cookies and bak kwa. The bak kwa you made it as if they are from store bought...same size and thickness.

Leslie, so rajin. This year I didn't make anything except for bak kwa. Too busy at work plus lost my baking mojo.
