Update Plants

It's been awhile since I update the plants and veggies in my garden.Summer is officially over 2 days ago .This summer was crazy for me..swimming lesson and more swimming for my dear Mishu .Talking about Mishu she is sick, having cold since last week after visited her pediatrician. She supposed to have fever after MMR and chickenpox shots but fever she don't have, cold she had now! So weird.I was warned by her pediatrician that she might get fever,so I stand by FEVER medicine but not cold medicine at home!! She really hate her new pediatrician coz each time she see him he gave her shots or prick needles into her skin..!! Next visit she going to get Flu shot and H1N1 shots..I'm debate whether to give her H1N1 shot.......
Fall season is here now..I can said I have love and hate relationship with Fall..I used to loves Spring but after years in US and A ,suddenly Spring pollen attacked me like crazy especially the first 2 weeks of spring.Well, now I kind of like Fall season... beside clean up!! hahaha!
All my tomato plants was strikes by late blight ..At first when I see all my tomato plants has spotted leaves, dark lesions and rotted fruit ,I thought maybe I didn't watered enough but later I found an article in local newspaper regarding this disease HERE ..To understand what is Late Blight disease's ,check it HERE !!
my poor tomato plants:(we had too much rain in summer, wet and cool weather in hot summer that caused this disease.I removed all the plant s and trash away as the expert advised.

white lily bloomed at late summer..remember ??I bought some broken lilies during Easter at discount price? I was surprised it's blooms!
love white color, something different after orange and red color lilies.
I absolutely love these plants! dahlia and mandeville!! blooms all summer long! so pretty and colorful but I didn't realised this is A Tropical plants!!
Recently I found out about the condition and types when I visited nursery again..now I'm cracking my head how to store these plants at 60-65 F temperature!!..No green house and No space with sunlight indoor!!..*sigh*
basil I sowed from seeds grown and grown health all summer long too
I also sowed some pepper seeds...I think this is Cayenne pepper
whole long red pepper
Jalapeno
The Late Blight also destroyed my squash plants
look at the leaves full of the white spots!
cabbage ...but was attacked by incests or buggy...look at the holes on the leaves...
green mustard...I harvested this green mustard twice...
I think this is broccoli but how come the broccoli head doesn't exist like the one sold at local market? or maybe I should harvest the leaves instead or wait for the head and florets.
this is potato plants...maybe I should wait for next year before harvest..
some flowers I sowed from seeds in the vegetables garden..I forget what it's called..
blue flower
this plants look weird.....well,last couple of days I bought quite alot of plants..usually end of summer the nursery (Lowes)will sell most of their plants at the lowest price rather than trash away..Fall is also the season for seeding...come back and check what I got at the nursery on bargain price!

Trip to Amusement Park in PA (Final)

*warning lots of photos*
I know some of you been waiting for the final part of our PA trip..OK if some of you dunno what I'm talking about ,check here and here and here!!
Well it's took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to drive from Knoebels Park to Hershey. When we reached Hershey I decided we should visit Chocolate World first.I been to Chocolate World few times but not Mishu..We reached Chocolate World at 6 pm and it's close at 7 pm..Luckily we don't have to paid for the expensive parking..The first 2 hours is FREE then after 2 hours ,I think it's $10 and continue to add more if you stay longer..Hershey Amusement Park is too scary and huge for Mishu!! mostly all the rides are gigantic roller coaster .It's suitable for adult and teenager but not children..so we skip the amusement park..without wasting time ,we quickly hopped to Chocolate World...

Mishu and daddy pose in front of the famous trademark..

then Mishu and the truly yours pose too but daddy photography skill sucks big time!! where is the famous trademark?
next!! we must let's Mishu work at this factory
before Mishu start to work, she must pose for a photo first
then packing the chocolate to the box
she still have no idea how to do it...after daddy assists her
then one of the worker show her how to shake and dance with her chocolate box
Mishu wondering what next?
continue to dance and shake the box
then step to the next station to wrapped her chocolate box..tad...dah!! done!
later we walk around the store...
Mishu saw a girl getting her chocolate in a special box...told her the chocolate here is not cheap at all..supermarket have better price when it's on sale.
but of course,Chocolate World have unique and special character chocolate which outside supermarket not available at all..
next we took a moving car to tour how choclate snack was made!
first we see how to get the milk from...
these 3 little friends produce milk for the chocolate bar they are going to made
then cocoa process
following by more coco
dark and white chocolate
fine chocolate paste
famous Hershey fudge
famous Kisses in process
love Kit-Kat!
well ...that all we seen...actually I planned we should come back again the next day but daddy said there is nothing more to see...we also intend to take the trolley ride to see the whole park but each person cost $10!! now everything is money!! But this type of $$ not worth spend...so we were looking for any restaurant on the way back to the hotel but sadly...not much place was open on Labor Day!
at last we found a Houlihan's restaurant on Chocolate Avenue....Mishu having her carrot stick wt blue cheese ...children's appetizer but just one bite...and push aside the rest..
Buffalo wing wt blue cheese dressing too
mine house salad comes with blue cheese dressing but was suprised the blue cheese dressing comes in chunks not sauce!
Eliot's onion soup.....to me taste weird..maybe I dunno how to appreciated western soup except clam chowder!
Eliot ordered Burrito Platter which comes with beans ,rice and chicken
Mishu's pasta with mariner sauce
truly yours chicken parmigiana wt fettuccine ..after dinner we went back to the hotel which have comfy 2 queen size bed..I used to bid room from Priceline when Mishu was a toddler but I can't use bid method anymore coz it's didn't show the room or bed first before I bid..
this gal is really growing up...she need her own bed..the next morning we checked out the room and look for Super Wal-mart nearby..Eliot keep telling me Allentown has the largest Wal-mart store but when I google online it's shown PA have few dozen of Super Wal-mart which is really great!! but didn't said which is the largest store..too bad our area don't have Super Wal-mart..we are lucky we have Wal-mart coz NYC don't have any Wal-mart store at all..we found a nearest Super Wal-mart on our way out to the Interstate highway and hopped in to look see look see but found nothing special..
after visit Walmart we hopped into this store..Our area don't have any Cabela's,I used to ordered my fishing stuff online from this Sporting company..

wow!! this is Super Fishing store!!
rows and rows of fishing poles, gears, rears, equipments and accessories!! I absolutely love this store!
really huge too!!
like the store display,so different..
while waiting for daddy to choose his toy,Mishu found a birdy and hat!
but she decided to get the birdy.....she keep asking me to get her this birdy...she loves anything with soft flurry hairs..you name it! dog ,cat, raccon and etc..too bad daddy said no doggy at home!! she hardy asked for anything so I decided to get her this $6.00 flurry birdy with magnet.I also found a pairs of pink Croc's sandal on sale for Mishu at $5.00 only!!..we better hit our way home now!!..I requested daddy to stop at Chinatown in Manhattan for me to get some authenic chinese food at Bowery Street..since we used Holland Tunnel...the whole trip to PA we or I just ate fast food and western food...any chinese food is welcome especially noodle and rice..I got a wonton noodle soup, sampan porridge (teng chai chok)and squid with black bean sauce over rice...

sorry no photos of the foods...finished all once we reached back home..of course ,daddy won't eat the food I bought...too chinese lor!.Mishu happily pose with her birdy!!
both her wings can stick to any metal surface
overall we have a nice and great mini vacation at PA.. if you have small toddler ,these place is worth for your trip..and time..
