Last Friday we was in Queens again coz Eliot had an doctor appointment.As usual I drop him off at the doctor office before proceed to do so minor food shopping..Since I bought quite some food and grocery at Elmhurst, Queens the week before last Friday ,so this time I plan just want to get some fresh Chinese vegetables and seafood.I decided to visit another Asian supermarket which I rarely shop there at all.
when we are going to enter the supermarket entrance,I saw on the display rack have some fresh young coconut juice on sale..I asked Mishu would she have some fresh coconut juice since the weather is hot and humid..Well,she said "NO" but I insist she going to drink the juice ,so I asked the seller to open 2 young coconut for me.
cheap...eh?? just $0.99 each!!
then saw lobster on sale ,so asked for 2...well by now the lobsters was cooked and eaten:p wanna to know what I cooked,hope over to my kitchen blog later!!
Mishu and me are both crab freak. We both can eat a dozen easily.So I ask the seller to pack a dozen crab for me...request him to select more female rather than male crab.....crazy for the creamy eggs.
after food shopping at this market,I suggested to Mishu we should have some lunch first...Mishu wanna some noodle soup....so we went to Vietnamese restaurant nearby.

I get myself a plate of grilled pork with rice noodles,sprinkle with some peanut and vinegar...dunno what's the actual name called..
my meal also comes with some herbs and lettuce for wrapping..
I ordered a bowl of shrimp and pork noodle soup,just add in bean sprout on side into her soup for her...leave out the basil..
she happily eat her noodle soup....but found her fork can't twist the noodles into her spoon....so slippery
then decided to use chopsticks instead...
at least her chopsticks will help her to fork the noodles into her mouth without slipping away quickily...Then daddy call to be pick up,said he done but told daddy we are still eating and we will be there in 15 -20 minutes..quickly ask the wait staff to pack our meal and ready to go...but before we leave,I wanna to stop at another Asian market next to this Vietnamese restaurant..we both make a quick shopping...mybe about 15 minutes..
Mishu saw this giant lolly-pop and keep holding it..ask her would she like to have it..she said "yes"..alright ....then ask the cashier how much it's,she told me it's $5.00,then I make this remake"how can she finish the giant lolly pop?" the cashier said inside the giant clover has small lolly-pop!! aiyooo ....me so jakun a.k.a sua-pa ooo...!! lol! maybe when I was at her age never had this kind of luxury sweet ..Mishu keep asking if she can open her lolly-pop all the way home..
at home she ask again can she open her lolly-pop....well.....taaa...dahh!!
now happily open her giant lolly-pop..inspect her valuable mini lolly-pop one by one
I hop over to the Asian market after lunch and found this :fresh kaffir lime leave a.k.a daun limau purut..I was suprised when this Asian market sell Fresh kaffir lime leaves..so fresh and green!! I want to get few packets even thought I still have plenty of this leaves in freezer given by Gertrude..
at first glance I thought it's $2.99 or 1.99 a packet but I look again at the price tag...viola!! it's $0.99 a packet only!! awesome!! sadly this week when I was that Asian market again I found this fresh kaffir lime leaves at $3.99!! So I guess they price it wrong last week..luckily I bought 3 packets last week!! hehehe!!

yes that right!! you heard me right? last week or 2 weeks ago I received a package from leemei of
mycookinghut. I participated in her Dorset Cereals contest and won a prize!! Sorry to my ignorance. At first I thought or maybe my imagination thought CEREAL for breakfast it's the loose cereal mix eat with milk.Actually I didn't really see the photos posting clearly in her post when I posted my comment!! maybe my mind was on vacation!! shame on me:( It's didn't cross my mind it's cereal bar with wonderful flavor!!

when I open the package I keep telling myself,"isn't look like diet cereal bar"?
so far I only try cranberry & almond chunky slices..it's beyond my expectation!! that mean great lor!! hehehe!! the rest of these cereal slices is still in my car coz I spare this cereal bar for raining day or when I don't have time to take meal at home. OKay....you must wonder about the title posted above,right? Previously as I mentioned about Mishu Pre-K's lottery,right? Well,we received a notice last month,inform us that Mishu is not selected(lottery pick) in their Universal Pre-K programme:that mean if we want to send her to Pre-K we have to pay for it!!
what a luck...huh? anyway,we are going to send Mishu to Pre-K eventhought she not selected in the FREE programme...if not what else she going to do at home? watching "sponge bob square pant" and "family guys" at home whole day? oh yes,Mishu watch family guys!! She thought "family guys" is a cartoon for kids..Literally speaking "family guys" is a cartoon animation but they are for Adult!!I was shocked she speak like an adult!! she called us "guys" and so on..
to add more pain to the insult/injury,Mishu's Preschool send us a letter informing us to get ready the stationary supplies for her..well,isn't the school suppose to provide all the stationary supplies for her activities at school? we must pay the school fee and stationary as well??? wtf!! I been searching high and low for WIDE marker and crayon at Walmart,OfficeMax,Staple and pharmacy but found none!! wondering is there is a such thing as WIDE crayon and marker? the sale person in Office Max suggest me to look at craft store,maybe they carry such item..hope so..
well,we still wait for another registration package to arrive...coz as it's stated we need to update Mishu's medical information..I make a well visit appointment for Mishu at her pediatrician office and was told they only have one spot left before school open.The date for her well visit and orientation day fall on the same date/day.*sigh*

that is what Mishu said now!! She been to pool almost everyday to practise her swimming skill...at last she dare to jump and go under the water,swimming and kicking..No words needed to explain her action ...just enjoy her photos below!!

some lifeguard said she can go to Level ll when seeing Mishu swim like this..
she need to learn more skill and technique of proper swimming
maybe I'm going to enroll Mishu for more swimming class at local school when summer over..
she pretty good now...huh? I recalled before she learn swimming,she will freak out bloody murder when water splashed on her face and head during shower but now....
she said she want to be mermaid....always dance in the pool with her tip toes..
I must wear gaggle when going to pool...but this gal take out her gaggle and hold in her hand when swimming. We lost a Speedo gaggle at this pool..*sigh*
This batch of photos was taken few weeks back...but now she more daring...she even swim to the middle of the pool which is about 5 feet's deep..
her daddy said it's took her 2 months for her to learn this little skill but at least she learned,right? told him it's not easy to get over the FEAR getting into the pool especially water in the pool....
she still young,so it's easy for her to let go her fear by regular practise in the pool
look!! Mishu have the whole pool by her self...as for me ,I learned backstroke and breaststroke from my swimming lesson..I still didn't get the free style,weird right? They said Free style is much easier than Breaststroke but it's opposite for me....*sigh* maybe I need more lesson too..
going back to the pool again,splashing and kicking...nowadays our township pool closed one hour early .Maybe the last day will be after Labor Day coz mostly all the lifeguard are college student and high school student.....till then...........

When we was at Queens last week,I do some food shopping in 2 of 3 Asian market there while waiting for Eliot to see his doctor.Look what had I bought below!!
as usual I like to buy fresh "hor fun"(flat noodle) for stir-fry .Also grab a packet of petai (stinky beans) and three packets of Thai's fish cake.
I believed sator bean from Thai's is not as stinky as the one from kampung(village) in Malaysia but beggar can't be choosy,right?
found Chan Heong have new packing of Assam Kari and would like to try out..beside that I also notice more new Malaysia company or brand of spiciness or condiment in the market today!.Never try instant Crispy Prawn wt cereal condiment before..let you guy know the result once I try out...
saw these cake flour for kuih muih...I realised the price has gone down for this particular item so I grab 6 tubes;yellow,red,white and green color
love this "Ee mein" so I grab 4 packets.it's better than instant noodle!!
as usual I get each pack of yellow soft noodle,udon noodle and pan-fried noodle..
saw "cincau in Malay" or "lung fan in Cantonese" made in Singapore.This black jelly is at $1 each.Summer is the right time to have cincau drink or MJ drink.Guess this "cincau " is better than the one in can Made in China.These day I try to avoid Can food from China ...you know what I mean..No Offence to China but regarding food don't play play,right?
these Thai's fish cake is really good!! better than the one sell in Thai's restaurant!!

notice Rego Park area have just builds a new huge department store: the red awing building is Century 21 store!! Viola!! designer clothes for less store!! NYC don't tax clothes and shoes under $100 so this place is ideal to shop if you happen to visit NYC!
have no idea why Mishu took this car...
