Here is the continue post from hair-cut posting..Warning* lots of food photos and prepare a napkin while drooling* lol! Well after our hair cut, I plan our dinner and food shopping..While waiting for Mishu's hair cut,I called a friend who live in Elmhurst,told him I'm in Queens now..as he always remind me to give him a buzz if I'm in Queens..Long story short..he and gf invite us for a dinner..but told him we plan to have "black noodles" dinner a.k.a Hokkien Mee..Then they joined us for Malaysian food..
It's been years I didn't visit Penang restaurant in Elmhurst..I was surprised the whole restaurant was renovated and the ambiance is more classy..of course ,their prices go up higher too!!..no more $4.95 for a bowl of noodles soup..Now it's $5.95!! I like their hokkien mee coz they put "bak U pok"a.k.a fried lard!!
I ordered a "yin yong" for myself.that is mixed pan-fried keow teow and pan-fried mee hoon without eggs in gravy..if I order "wan-tan hor"it's comes with egg gravy.I forget that"yin yong" doesn't have eggy gravy*sigh*.I dunno why the do that..but it's been like that for years...I think all Malaysian restaurant in States or maybe in NYC apply to this style of cooking and menu..
this "black noodles" belonged to Mishu..it's really taste super goooood!! the chef who cook this dish know how to use "wok hei"镬气..that mean the noodles cooked in a wok over a high flame while being stirred and tossed quickly. 
my friends ordered assam fish head in claypot..this dish is not bad at all..just look red but not really spicy!!
they also ordered "malai fung kong" a.k.a watercress in sambal belacan..I understand Penang's these days cater to "kwai loh" customer but this vegetable dish is really strong in belacan!! also not spicy at all ..maybe it's me..my taste bud need extra spicy food!!
actually before our dinner I stop at one of the Asian market who carry lots of Malaysia grocery ..my friend advised me to grab some of the stuffs I need first,afraid after dinner the market will closed....I should come out early...but waiting for Princess Mishu to wake up*sigh* When I see ChanHong Assam laksa in stock,I grab all of it on the shelve!!
look at the food I bought!! some snack and sauces!! after dinner I saw another Asian market still open,quickly run in and saw they also carry amply of Malaysia grocery in stock..I guess recently all of the Asian market has new shipment..
this muruku is so-so not really spicy...maybe they need to add more cumin seeds!! Mishu help me to finish it,she said Skunk chips! haha!
more snack!! I think this snack will last me few weeks...
when I see this Plum Lime concentrated ,I quickly grab it...I still have some left from my last trip to Melaka.This assam limau kasturi drink is really good!! .I realised mostly all the grocery prices go up...Saw an ayam brand sardine at $5.30!! I told my friend,I won't pay $5.30 to eat Ayam brand!! Goya brand also same ma...right? it's like eating gold!!
found assam laksa paste right,don't forget to get "har koh"a.k.a shrimp paste(petis udang) !!
I like both brand of curry powder.Burung Nuri and Babas..Actually both of brand curry powder are the best!! For me there 's not much different in term of flavour and taste .of course bottom line the different is the price!!
I found a ready to cook "yee mein" from Malaysia .I didn't notice this yee mein sell here before,maybe new item....planning to cook soon and see how it's taste!!
Hope this "yee mien" won't disappoint me..hate when bought something it's smell stale!
I miss cendol so much,intend to buy the ready make cendol that display on the Asian market counter but it's really expensive!! so I plan to make my own cendol with this gula melaka!!
again buy some bowls!! but this time chinese style bowl...
and the rest of the stuff I bought!! don't have to chance to get some fresh seafood...coz they already closed the seafood counter.the staffs gone for the day...nevermind..there always next time!!
Mishu is ready to go home...after all the "hu-ha hu-ha"! These days she can buckle her own safety belt..big gal liao!!
Wherever Mishu goes,Minnie must follow too...time to take some nap on the way home...

I'm had enough of combing and washing Mishu's hair!! Mishu cried each time I wash and comb her hairs!! I even used Untangled by J&J when combing her hair but it's doesn't help much..She still screaming and crying.Her hair was really dry and matted.She refused to wash her hair when she took her bath because she said it's hurt! Well,I decided to get her hair cut ASAP!! yes,cut away her hair!! The last time she had her hair trimmed when we had vacation in Malaysia almost 2 years ago..My mom bring her along with her to salon when she had her hair set..
Mishu was at a beauty salon in Elmhurst,Queens 2 days ago.I called a long time friends who live in Elmhurst when I reached there to ask for salon recommendation.I forget my friend had to attend her daughter high school graduation at Brooklyn Tech..Luckily,I get in touch with her younger daughter..Long story short she recommend her favourite hair stylish nearby..who is a Singaporean/Malaysian.
Mishu had her hair wash first and then cut.She sit quietly and unhappy to let the "aunty" cut her hair away.She didn't freak out or cry.Her daddy keep remind me not to cut her hairs too short coz she have round and big face.More importantly I must keep her cut hair and bring home with me. It's was her baby hair,we didn't cut her hair since she was born!
Look at her face....so sad...she keep saying "don't cut my hairs"!!
I requested the "aunty" cut a shoulder length style for Mishu..

actually I love her new cut hair!! I keep telling her ,her new hair style look great!! Mishu said" mommy don't said it anymore"!! haha!! After Mishu hair cut,then it's mommy turn..I need a hair cut badly..just need to trim 3-4 inch away especially the dry end..In less than 1.5 hours we both complete our hair cut!! After hair cut ,we both go to have our dinner .It's quite late in the evening when we leave home about 4.30 pm...waiting for Mishu to wake up*sigh*.As usual Mishu asked for "Black Noodles a.k.a Hokkien Mee" ..so Malaysia restaurant we go...

Mishu was invited to attend her school-mate 4th year old Birthday party at her castle.The Birthday gal request all her guests to wear 'party dress' because her tea-party theme is "Princess"!! So I hurry up looking for any party dress for her to wear....at last I found one in her closet but ......it's look dull and unattractive!! *shrug* ..then daddy has to call the Queens for Mishu's RSVP .
all the Princess was having tea-party lunch at the castle backyard the menu:ice tea with peanut butter and jelly sandwich
all the princess have special make-up on their face done by the Birthday gal's older sister
cute mini tea cup and plate ..as for all the Queens,we had cold cut in fancy wrap and ice tea too..
after their lunch,all the princess waiting for their turn to hit Pinatas
Princess Mishu strike Pinatas castle 3 times but nothing come out....
at last the Queens decided to let all the Princess to pull the string from Pinatas castle at the bottom..

Princess Mishu turn now .The Queen turn and turn and turn Princess Mishu,then she stick her sticker at" Pin the crown on the Princess"..
OK...done!!she doesn't even look where she stick,just need to go....
for this games she got a sunglass as the prize to match her dress..
next game is "Musical Chairs"!!
oh...no...Princess Mishu out liao! this gal have no idea how to play this game at all!!
she hurry back to sit on the mini roller coaster at the play ground .I love this castle backyard!!!
after the "musical chairs" game,all the Princess was treat to a tattoo session..
while all the Princess is enjoying their fake tattoo,their mommy request the Queen to speed up cake cutting ceremony coz they are going to pick up their other children who are still in school....What a cute cake right?:Tinker Bell!!
Princess Mishu said "thank you" and gave a hug to the Birthday gal before we leave...just look at their size!!ahem....they are both just 4 months apart but it's look like Princess Mishu is 4 year older than Birthday gal...*sigh* all the Princess was given a summer hat ,white gloves and cute pocketbag in a goodies bag..This tea-party a.k.a birthday party was really cool!! The Queen of this Birthday gal spare no expenses to make her Princess happy!!

We celebrated Father's Day dinner the day after father's day.I dunno why we are having so much rain this month.Almost everyday we has rain ,FDay is not exception!! On FDay I was working for my ex-boss in Brooklyn .So on FDay both father and daughter spend their down time together alone at home.Now back to the dinner celebration topic,I suggested a Latin's restaurant nearby coz we had rain and rain on and off the whole day on Monday.Eliot agreed with my suggestion coz he never been there too....The verdict : he love the food from this restaurant.

we order a pitcher of Sangria for us and a glass of Canberry juice for Mishu
this Sangria is quite good!!
we ordered a plate yellow banana appetizer

I forget to talk the photos when our main course arrived...after we start to eat few mouthful,then I said "oh...oh..no"
Eliot order Seafood in Creamy sauce..forget what it's name..it's look messy but actually it's taste really good!!
he mixed the seafood with the white rice on the side...he keep praising he choose the right dish!!
I choose a seafood comb from Today Special menu..Tuna and scallop with spinach with some soy sauce I think..it's doesn't taste like soy sauce but it's black in color!! wonder what it's!!
My dish is so-so only
I gave all the scallop to Mishu but she took a bite and push her plate away...it's quite good,wonder why she refuse to eat anything at all beside dinner roll..maybe the butter bun make her full..
