I don't have the chance to post this posting until now..Well, as I mentioned before during the last weekend of Chinese New Year, my long time dear friend "J" and family came to visit me from Queens.I know "J" and her family who are Malaysian for more than 15 years. Times flies so fast. I remember we both used to work together for a very brief time in Midtown ,Manhattan and from there we both keep in touch and become good friend. It's seem like yesterday. As usual they brought alot of "buah tangan"(gifts) for us. Remember I told you we had hotpot for dinner and they love it! Look what they brought for us below!
They get Mishu a Mickey Mouse plush toy but she show no interest at all..I dunno why she don't like Mickey plush toy but love Mickey 's cartoon in TV only. So I have to go back to the mall to exchange Minnie Mouse for her.Look at her happy face! She have plenty of new Mickey and Minnie plush toys.She get it on last Christmas.Look at her messy room! We try to replace her old shaggy and dirty Minnie's to any of this new toys but she won't let us do it. Yesterday when she woke up for her nap without her old and dirty Minnie at her side,she was screaming blo0dy murder! We throw to her an old Mickey 's ,same aged with her Minnie's but she know it's not Minnie.Minnie's is her security blanket,no matter how dirty and shaggy,she still love it dearly.
She want to be Princess,insist to get the crown when we shop at Joanne Craft Store. Her dad said why not ..well since it's $1.00... Since she refused to replace her old Minnie,so I have to pack up this new Minnie and store in closet.If not all her plush toys just lay around gathers dust. Her old Minnie is falling apart,I just sewn the Minnie's ribbon on the head. and the rest of "buah tangan"(gift). Both Mishu and I love pistachios! we both can finish the whole pack at once! and mandarin oranges....after 2 weeks these mandarin orange still around...Mishu was coughing badly for the last 10 days.At last I have to bring her to see her doctor last week.Her doctor prescripts her 10 days antibiotic and advised me to get her some OTC Mucinex.I understand orange is bad if she have bad coughing and have mucus. and this.....love this brand chocolate! and this!! Look like Love Letter cookies(kuih kapit).. "J" brought me this last year and it's still around! I better do something with it now before it expired....maybe use it for baking? more chocolate!! My friend "A" gave this to Mishu when we visit her for CNY's hot pot in NYC. This packet is almost 3 pound! I only let Mishu eat one piece of chocolate or candy a day if not she is going to act nutty-hyper! Almost everyday for breakfast I will let Mishu choose what she like to eat..Sometimes she like scramble eggs,sometimes cereal,sometimes yogurt and sausage..and sometimes instant noodle! But yesterday I suggest to her to eat Kuih bahulu since I bake plenty of them! She not really interested..She not a cake person....but I insist,so I quickly make a cup of Milo for her,show her to dip her Kuih bahulu into her Milo ,then pop into her mouth! at least she try......dip into Milo and quickly pop into mouth.. after 2 pieces,she refused to eat more!! She ask for meat ball spaghetti!! Actually it's not bad to dip bahulu into Milo..this idea was suggested by one of Malaysia food blogger,Leemei who comment at my kitchen blog.I try it out and like it but not Mishu! Well.... Well,I need to make some correction here..I realised I said something wrong there!! KitchenAid mixer price was wrong! It's supposed to be $299 instead of $199..You can see from the video I'm freaking nervous!! No rehearsed or coaching before interview..Anyway, I like the experience to be interviewed. It's also give me a chance to tell other families ,who are penny stretching to utilized coupons to the full extend!! Using coupon can really save $$$ !! I love coupon especially when they store offer to take double or triple coupons on top of the sale items! Beside that delivered these useful information to bring awareness,it's also give me a chance to be famous for one and half minutes!! LOL! We had our Valentine's dinner last Sunday at an Italian restaurant nearby.I want some Italian food, I mean pop and mom Italian cooking not chain restaurant cooking. Eliot "google" few Italian restaurants around our area .He called one restaurant after read the positive reviews but nobody pick up the call after calls. Huh? going out of bussiness or close for the day? Anyway,he choose one nearest to us,maybe 3 miles drive away..
this gal not feeling well again...coughing and cold again..She was OK for 2 days ,then her cold comes back again..Before we go to have our dinner,we take a ride to Nassau county to hunt for sofa in our living room..Shopping for furniture is so tiring like shopping for car! So far we just narrow down our preference. Mishu is picking up at the bread.They served the best bread,soft and warm.Mostly Italian restaurant I had served hard and cold bread. My Chopped Clam with linguine...This dish is so-s0 only!! I didn't read properly the menu...if I know it's chopped clam I won't order this dish..I recalled years ago when I fish,we used this type of clam for bait..This type of clam is the lowest grade clams and usually restaurant won't use this clam as main dish..

Mishu's kiddy meal comes with dessert and soda..So I ordered for her spaghetti meatball. Look at her meatballs! It's so big like burger!!
She refused to twist her spaghetti.She prefer to eat like Chinese !! Slurpee!!
We all can't finish our dinner,so asked for take home..While waiting for check,both father and daughter pose for mommy!! Twins!

really don't understand why these people do that!! Talking about American have manners but this thing they seem to forget,right? Did you ever comes across with this kind of incident while dinning?
Happy Belated Valentine to dear readers,blogger,friends and family. I know it's kinds of late to wish but late better than nothing..I''m going to tell you why later in the post..Yesterday we celebrated a nice Valentine Day at home.We didn't go out to have dinner.First of all ,we know Valentine Day is not a good day to eat out and secondly I was in Brooklyn worked for my ex-employer.Coincidentally Eliot was off work for days and I was able to help out during this busiest day.We are so busy and at the end of the night I'm dead tired . Actually I'm glad I was able to help out on this day,I enjoyed and have good fun beside making good $! lol! Beside that my ex-boss gave me a real red rose:) Yeah, rose is freaky expensive during this special day!! When I'm back home it's over past midnight.Too bad Mishu had a bad day.When she woke up from her sleep she had a stiffed neck.Eliot keep calling me from time to time coz Mishu was in agony and miserable. He want me to talk to her ,thought she just been difficult while I'm away.Our dear neighbour "C" gave Mishu some chewable Tyendol to ease her pain.Luckily when I came home late at night Mishu is much much better ..
She able to greet me with smile...Daddy gave Mishu's present at the noon but she shown no interest at all due to her stiffed neck.When mommy back she bring her present out to show her mommy. Daddy purposely choose puppies for her coz he know Mishu love puppies. More puppies!! My Valentine present from daddy!! A fake rose,cupid and Mrs Field Chocolate!

World's Greatest Dad! and a Tag!!! We both shop at the mall and we decided to get this for daddy!! I know Eliot loves this watch but he will never buy himself this luxury watch. I owned 2 Tag's and I know this brand is durable and good !! Few of the luxury watcher stores at the mall is going out of business due to bad economy and this watch is on sale for 40% off!! Good deal,right? I try to hackle for lower price on top of 40% off by paying cash but they refused ,instead offer me 6 months 0 % APY payment.. Eliot was surprised and happy to get this gift!! I absolutely love this brand of watch.I recalled I bought my first Tag's when I was at 19 with my first whole month pay check!! then the remaining of the month I have to be a beggar and tide my belt just eating bread and drinking water!lol!..Until today my first TAG still working like champ! Look what I make for our V Day! I was baking and decorating this cake on the eve's until midnight..now you know why I don't have time to blog or wish Happy Valentine !!
