Happy 1 st Birthday "Beachlover"!!

Time flies so fast...I didn't realise it's been a year since I started blogging.Actually,I don't really know how to pen down word or write what has happened in my life in a book or diary.The fact to the matter,I don't really own any diary in my life because I hate writing.And now I own few blog!!Wooo...hooo!!!..If you ask me last year or year before I have no idea or courage that I can write my own personal blog.I'm surprised myself as well.Am I impress of myself?....not really?..Wish when I was in school many moons ago, pay more attention to my English lesson..instead of fooling around:P

Here We come,Tanger's Outlet!!

It's been a while I didn't visit Tanger's Premium Outlet at Riverhead.The last time I was there with some friends coming in from NYC and that was almost a year ago.Usually I don't go there by myself eventhought the outlet is 30 minutes away from our home.Elliot did mentioned,he want to get some Champion t-shirt at the outlet and I'm looking for skillet and pan for my kitchen.So on Monday,I told Elliot that we going to Tanger's and he agree but we leave home about 4 pm,kind of late.Well,luckily the rush hour is not really bad.

This Tanger's outlet have 2 section,that is A and B.Mostly this premium outlet sell branded clothes and shoes.Years ago whenever I visited premium outlet I was so excited to shop at every store.Of course I came out with 2-3 shopping bags!!.At the end of the day,my car was fully packed with bags.I still have all the new clothes with tags from my shopping years ago ,now in roughneck containers in garage and store room.You must wonder why I didn't wear all the clothes in the roughneck container!.Honestly,the size of my clothes ranging from size 4 to 10!!how to wear mini skirt and baby t-shirt with few spare tires now??lol!!. already old and fat,so now Mishu inherited all my clothes !
oh! this gal want to ride hot rod car!!..She know we going to seat her in stroller or shopping cart ,so she quickly ask me to let her wear her harness!!
Her harness Curious George always in my van...see?.she prefer to be tied up rather than locked up in her stroller.
At first Elliot used her harness to pull her ,then he said people give him weird look. Elliot looking for denim jacket in Levi's. What else is crazy now?Of course his Honda-Davidson!!

She let me call her all the times.
She want to ride Mr Softy but later she see something more interesting than Mr Softy...here
See.....!! That is a moving train!!
Daddy paid $2.00 at the train station.
I remember years ago it's just $1.00 for a ride ...well I guess this train need gasoline to run as well!

I think it's about 3-4 round of ride.
Daddy watch Mishu riding the train and I quickly run into few shop nearby look ,see, look ,see!!.
Nothing fancy me..too bad the Champion store closed down..so no T-shirt for daddy!.

Later I want something cold from Starbucks.Look this gal,she love teapot!
I get a Caramel frappacino.Mishu can't wait ,keep nagging me to let her drink .
Daddy and mommy waiting for Mishu to get the first taste of this $5.00 drink.
oh! this Frappacino is really good!! but too sweet for me...Ok..let go...we're quite disappointed,didn't get the things we want at this outlet.
I told Elliot we're going to Modell's and other retail store nearby..Look what I found!!A heavy duty aluminum 12 inch skillet by Kitchen Aid! I love this skillet with copper base especially the price.!!I prefer aluminum skillet for pan fried and deep fried.I read somewhere,don't use Teflon or non stick to pan fried or deep fried your food,it's bad for your health,the possibility of getting cancer too.
Look.... I can use this skillet in the oven Yes,it's $19.99 plus tax and I get it from my favourite discount store,HomeGoods!
We found Elliot's Champion t-shirt at Modell's .3 for $20 and I bought 6 pieces for him.So far we found what we wanted at retail store not outlet!

These days my post will come with some food photos for you to enjoy:)My mom gave me some basket cake "kuih bakul aka"nien gau''when I come back from Malaysia.I love my kuih bakul fried with yam aka taro and sweet potato.

It's come in vacuum pack and can last for one year without opening or leakage.The packaging look cool ,right?

Of course my dear hubby won't taste or try this kuih at all..Mishu don't really like it as well...coz it's not really sweet like candy!..I,myself"wallop" everything until finished!!.Now you know why I have spare tires!!lol!!

What A Mess!!

Previously I blog about mine new Dell computer,right?.Well,my Dell work fine and so far I have nothing to complaint about it even thought it's still run on Window Vista.Remember I still have Elliot's old desktop computer that is still functioning?.I suggested to him we get a wireless network but he skeptical about wireless .Well,I don't blame him,bcoz these days people can get your information when you send out your data on the air.But still.. I think I can secure our network with password.Why millions of people still used wireless router if it's not safe?.Long story short,he get an opinion from our neighbour who have a wireless router for both his computers back to back on the same table.At last he agree to install wireless router instead of hard wired as he suggested early.But I realise our cable modem can operate both USB and Ethernet wired on two computer at the same time.This time I ask Elliot to install the hard wired but he take his own sweet time again,who know maybe months or year.I thought we can save money for router and adapter but after weeks he still in no action!!So I quickly ordered few networking items online.After 3 days the items arrived in 2 different boxes before another trouble begin....

I didn't realised COMPUSA company closed all their location in New York .They also merged with TigerDirect.com
I get few review online from PC world ,Cnet and other sites.I understand Linksys router is rated good and the price is affordable .I also get a webcam which is compatible with Dell Window Vista .This web cam come have internal microphone installed and it's only $9.99! .
Well I forget the old desktop need an adapter,so I call up again to place an order over the phone to save the extra shipping charge again,the customer service sale suggested to get Optimize for the old computer.He said this Optimize will make the old computer and new computer work faster,speed up .I only install this CD in my new Dell but didn't feel it run any faster or have excellent performance.!!What a waste of money!!Cost me $29.99!!too bad I going to return it back!
Do you know that this adapter cost the same money as the same brand router?.Elliot's old desktop doesn't have wireless card,so in order for the router to work,it's need adapter.oh!! let me tell you,it's really a pain for me to install both gadgets!!.I called Linksys talk over the phone with few customer service agents who have Indian accent for more than 6-8 hours on and off!!Pheeewww.....At last I got the connection and moved the old computer upstairs,50 feets away from the router!.What happened next?.The connection strength is VERY LOW!!.I need to refresh the network and connection every time I go online which is so frustrating!!Elliot been complaining about this was well.Then what good is the wireless router we bought?.We spend hundred of green dollar and get this sucked result!
I called Linksys again,the customer service agent told me I need to moved my computer to another spot,maybe the spot I locate my desktop is blind spot!!But how to move desktop all the time?.Remember it's not laptop but even it's laptop it's still not a good idea.He ask me how many walls and feet away from the router?Well,told him upstairs and downstairs but still...isn't wireless router supposed to make our life easier?.I guess not in our case.So I ask Elliot to install hard wire on both computer to the cable modem which doesn't cost much ,no headache or worried about date transfer get stolen!.Our neighbour gave him a big bundle of usb wire and he will assist Elliot with the hard wire installation when he free.But for now we just have to wait for him ..The problem is I can't wait not to send in all the router and adapter bcoz the 30 days period from the date I ordered going to end soon.I just called the company and get the RA numbers,going to send back those items ASAP!!.

Fashion Show?

You must been wondering when Mishu grounding end,right?.Her daddy ask me to let her watch TV on Saturday but told him "NO",wait until next Tuesday,make it a week from the time she got herself into trouble.Now I'm going to tell you some silly thing happened to both of us,both daddy and mommy...oooooo!!!.This is the 3rd time,this incident happened to us so far.Usually on Sunday I will spend my whole afternoon in the kitchen cooking and baking,so this Sunday is no different.It's also daddy's day off .He like to lay himself on the sofa in the living room watching TV,if the living room is too hot for him, he run to our AC room to watch TV but only select channel avaliable , if he get bored in the bedroom ,he step to our guest room where the old computer station.At 6pm,Elliot step in the kitchen without Mishu.I asked him"daddy where is Mishu"?.He answer"I thought she with you"!!I said "NO,she not with me,how can she with me while I 'm in the kitchen whole day"?."I didn't see her at the backyard playing at her swing".From my kitchen window I can see Mishu playing at her regular spot.Then I continue"she must be with you coz I hear noise come out from the rooms,I thought both of you watching TV"in the room!!Suddenly both of us sprint as fast as we can to different directions.I run down stairs to our den,another room and another half bathroom looking for her.No she not there!!.Elliot run to the deck,yelling her name at our backyard,still no answer!!.Then he run out the front door to the street,keep yelling her name so loud!!.I quickly run to her room, look at the closet and under her bed.No shadow of her!.Then I glance at our living room floor,nothing!!.Then I open our master bedroom with AC,I saw she laying on our bed sleeping like baby.I closed the door slowly but still hear Elliot yelling urgently from the street.I called out"daddy ,daddy come in,she here".Within a second Elliot run back to the house,told him she sleeping in our room.Elliot asked me to feel his heart,pounding so hard.Both of us let our heavy breath go slowly....Phewww!!*wiping our forehead*I guess we are paranoid but still.....I still remember the first time we both also act like crazy parents when we can't find her.Actually she sleep on the couch downstairs at the den.The second incident,she fell asleep under the coffee table,we look for her hi and low! Elliot almost call 911.Pheweeeee!!Luckily we only have one child!!I don't know how others parents can handle 5-6 children,must salute them!!.After this evening incident Elliot ask me to let her watch cartoon.I brief Mishu why we ground her and why we let her watch cartoon after so many days.She promise me she not going to wonder around if she go out with me.We told her we love her and want her to stay with us for her safety.

Want to see what Mishu do on her grounding days??.She keep changing her clothes like fashion show!!She found her sunglasses under the couch while I mopped the floor.
Look at her double chin!! her daddy said our family double chin is thicker than Chinese phone book!!hahaha!
This girl only know how to be pretty!!
Can you tell this gal is only 3.5 year old not 5 or 6 ?.
I bet you can't guess her age if I didn't tell you,right?.She look mature beyond her age.
The second day,she took her chair to her closet and took out this new Minnie Mouse clothes.I told her this new set of Minnie Mouse have to keep for next year but guess not now.She said she want to go "kai kai"(outing) and already get her shoes on her foot and wait at the front door. oh!! no...no....outing for you yet,young lady!!
How about playing on your swing at the backyard?..You look cool and pretty but you still have to stay at home!.
Isn't great?.Swinging away!!.No candy,No cartoon and No outing!!
I guess she quite bored..She watch what we watch,she can only play her piano and toys in her room.
So I fried some fish cracker and both of us enjoy it for our afternoon snack.
My mom gave me this Keropok Ikan Parang(mackerel Fish) ....not bad huh!
This gal in hurry until trip over..with her cracker in her hand!

Remember my previous post talking about Made In China quality clothes bought in Malaysia .I bought alot of Minnie Mouse set clothes from flea night market(pasar malam) for Mishu.This is what I'm talking about...torn at her bottom!! Mishu wear this pant for few hours before the night is over,the pant already torn!!I can't expect much from RM 10 ,right?.
The 3rd day,Mishu change to her batik dress again during dinner time..I cook her dinner but she request to have soup.Told her the day is too hot for soup but she keep saying "i want to drink soup".Ok...think fast cook something quick and healthy for her.While I making her soup she "wallop" my dinner!!
Did you see she eating my spicy fried rice and panko chicken??
She eat half portion of my fried rice! now she feel the heat and kick!
Apple juice ,pleaseeeeeeeeeeee...hot,hot!!
Ok...your soup is ready,move over to your spot!!..
She tasting her Miso Shrimp Soup...It's simple ,healthy and easy!!
She like tofu and soy sauce,so I think miso soup is ideal soup for her.
I have all the ingredients for Miso soup in the fridge,so it just took me less than 10 minutes to make her soup
She finish almost 80% of her soup..Hop over to my kitchen blog later to see how this easy and simple soup was made!.I tied her hairs up and she removed her rubber band again!! tell you this girl know how to be pretty and dress nice.The hot weather doesn't bother her as long as she is "beautiful" accordingly to her!! I received this flyer by mail.It's enrollment form for your child to Pre-K ,separating classes or music classes.Mishu saw me reading the flyer and it's has piano drawing on it.She keep telling me she want to play piano there.Ok...atleast she show interest in music .The actual music form is yellow,I send in to get more information for Mishu to attend the program.Yesterday the person who handle the music program call me .
I'm going to let Mishu try this Tot Music Harmony Road program for 4 weeks first .Mishu going to her first class of Tot Music this coming Wednesday for an hour.This place is just 15-20 minutes away from us.It's also her first time to be separate from her mommy!!Wooo...haaa!!.We have no idea what is the outcome.I worried she not really can communicate with her teacher,I mean she speak Mandarin and her teacher don't understand her chinese.But Elliot said don't worried coz she do speak English with him.Furthermore,she not really want to mix with other kids.Is she going to cry or just act like usual...naughty?.Maybe I'm just a worried mom.Stay tune fro her update!
