This year 4th of July we done nothing special.Actually I want to go to Tanger's Premium Outlet but Elliot said there must have alot of people from city (NYC)frockling to the Outlet and he refused to get push and line up at the cash register.He love Champion T-shirt ,thought he can get better selection at the outlet .As for me I would love to see anything that strike my fancy especially baking store,American Eagles ,Armani EX and etc...etc.At last minutes,I plan to grill some food on the BBQ pit.Elliot not a fan of BBQ,so he stay indoor almost the whole period.Mishu and me both enjoying our self sitting at the patio. 
I rarely use BBQ pit to grill my food,so this small pit with charcoal is just right for us.I bought this pit last year at Walmart for $19.99..I'm not an expert of BBQ,so the chicken thigh burned under the charcoal fire!!ouch!
Beef burger and beef hot dog for Elliot and Mishu...I don't take beef,so I make myself Turkey burger..
And this is for me"Kam Heong grill fish"...hmmmm yummy delicious!!.I make myself this special dish,love it!I'm going to post this recipe in my kitchen blog later.
I didn't get burger bun,so I replaced with white sandwich bread.Look at Mishu sour face..She just took few bites and run away...of course I still have plenty of food leftover..
After done all the food grilling,I prepare my belacan grilling session!!hahaha!!.I guess all my neighbours is pinching their nose!!but better than let the pungent smell in the house when using indoor stove,right?.Right after I finish frying the belacan,it's pouring hard!.Elliot just come out to hang out with me less than 20 minutes and we both run as fast as we can back to the house.I thought to continue frying my sambal belacan on the grill as well.Going to post my sambal belacan recipe in my kitchen blog later..
Mishu have to eat the grill corn on the cob in the kitchen.Look at her "mouse" face...full of butter!!lol!!
I took this shot from Mishu's room.Our neighbour next block keep letting their firework go on and on from 7pm to 9.30 pm..
Listen to the last part,Mishu is screaming bloody murder after listening to the intense firework for the last hour.At first she not really afraid of firework,she even told her daddy in mandarin "Ah Ma home also got Gong Xi Fa Cai"!!.She thought any celebration with firework must be "Gong Xi Fa Cai"!!lol!!.When she was in KL during CNY,she was really afraid of firework.
After the firework done,3 of us watch "Kung Fu Hustle"by Stephen Chow(Chow Sing-Chi).Oh boy! Elliot love this movie!!But Stephen Chow movie are all toilet humor and nonsense talk..Elliot said movie should be entertaining not sad or logic!!

We didn't anything either. Been raining the whole day so we just stay indoor. No BBQ and no fireworks. I too wonder what you neighbor think when they smell you stinky belachan ha ha... can't wait to see what you did with the belachan :)

You were so daring to fry the belacn outdoors! Geng!!! I dare not even cook anything with too much belacan in the house. My hubby said he smelled the 'dead corpse" while he outside raking when i was cooking some Maggi curry paste which contained belacan in it.
Your ikan bakar sure looks delicious!! Can't wait to see your recipe! We went to the park to see the fireworks this year and it was the longest and the best finale ever.

Elliot laughing when he really smell the stinky smell .At first he don't believe it's smell,coz the wind blew different direction.He duck as fast as he can,our neighbour is also hanging at their backyard!lol

maggie curry paste really smell??.I didn't have the chance to cook Maggie brand yet!.You must cook more often,then hubby used to the smell.At first my hubby can't even take spicy tumis chili smell,now he used to my cooking,no more complaint!!lol!!
