This morning I took out Kueh Bakul (Basket Cake)which my mom gave me.Yes,I carried all the way from Malaysia.Across the sea and mountain!!.lol!!I bought some shredded frozen coconut from Indian store last weekend.Woo hoo!!..I'm going to steam Kueh Bakul and coated with shredded coconut .When Elliot walk in the kitchen ,I remind him to go to vote for school budget today.To determine our tax property we have to vote the school budget.Each year our school budget increase 3-5 %.It's really a pain for us as homeowner to pay high taxes.I don't know about other state but Long Island homeowner paid for the teacher ,fireman and policeman salary in our county.That the reason Long Island tax property and school is one of the highest and best!!.Elliot ask me to go with him to vote.Actual he have reason to ask me to go with him....Well,I didn't know until later!!
Since I can't vote and it's pouring the whole night and day,I almost declined his invitation but....I have plenty of work to do at home.I need to cook for dinner before I attend cake decoration class.I'm in the middle of cooking"Kam Heong" spices when he ask me.Well,at last I go with him......
Hmmmmm...my mom told me the vacuum pack kueh basket is good for a year it's not broken or torn.That right!.This kueh bakul is not really sweet and soft..Love it!!
We arrived at our town middle school where they have poll booth for the voter.
They used the basket ball court for polling center.
Elliot check his register name with that guy.On our way out,Elliot said that guy is legally blind but....he is looking at the name in the book,right?.I guess he told the other person to take he or she(Elliot) to the booth.Maybe he can just see near,very near only.

On our war out Mishu grab a sandwich roll.We can't stop laughing,Elliot said maybe they prepare the coffee,tea and snack for the worker who are working at the poll.Of course nobody said anything to us or stop Mishu from taking the sandwich.Who is going to yell at a child?.

Elliot was a student in this Middle School when he was in his pre teen.
After voting,Elliot bring me to a Motorcycle store which is just down the road.Now you know the reason he bring me with him,right?.Last week,he ask me to order him a summer helmet in eBay.And today his helmet arrive but after trying his new helmet,he not satisfied .He said the helmet make his head look bulky..Aiyooooo...ni orang banyak susah punya..This helmet is his second purchase within 2 weeks.The last one he returned to the site which he buy online,said the photo doesn't match the one he received..Anyway,long story short,he ask me what I think of his new helmet.Well,I said it''s look good and cool.Honestly it look cool!!
So he decide to come to this store to try another model and style to see whether others helmet make his head bulky or not.He came to this store previously to buy his full face helmet when he first got his motocycle.
At last other brand and style helmet also make his head look bulky and he is satified with what he have now.*wiping my forehead*.I hate to return item in eBay.In US and A when we ride a motorcycle,we need to get DOT(Department Of Transportation) certified helmet,if not you can get summon.If 's also to proctect yout head if accident happen.
Mishu keep trying mini helmet too.
She still have her sandwich in her hand.
I have cleaned our guest room almost 90% done.
Elliot hang up the blinds at the window but too bad few was broken when he took it down.Luckily the blinds was life guaranteed,so he bring it back to the company and get the clip replacement without charge.

I had vacuum the floor and wipe all the furniture with Windex after Elliot sanding his spackle.Well,he still left his brush,paint can and etc in the room.I'm still waiting for my dear hubby to finish his touch up work...Later I have to rush out for my cake decorating class and the weather is not cooperating.It's pouring hard.Only 2 student turn up and I'm the one of the 2..My instructor teach us how to make roses and petal which is cool...Well,I'm still learning...I will show you guys once I managed to make a beautiful roses ..Stay tune...

Hehehe ... sounds like your hands are full! But looking at the comforting guest bed, its well worth it versus the messy room post earlier lol. Me and J have a room to do up too,for guest, just incase. A lot of work loh *wipe sweat from forehead* and unlike Msia where its norm to get contractor to do it, we have to DIY everything.
I like my kueh bakul fried with yam and sweet potato. Are you busy preparing the guest room for my visit :) :)
Ahhhh, I'm dying for a piece of nien goh with coconut... Didn't know they have the vacumn pack.. Must make a note for next year.

I do fried kueh bakul with yam and sweet potatos days ago,makan sampai gigi sakit!!lol!!.Busy preparing the guest room for you visit ??.not really but I take this chance to ask Elliot to finish up his work if not sampai next year his tools still in the guest room!!.We have 2 guestroom,one upstair and one downstair,all yours:))

I also didn't know you can vote for the school budget. I normally get the budget in the mail showing how much we have to pay for this year. :(
