Shopping at Trader Joe's

I am so busy now, shopping ,cooking for storage hubby foods, packaging our luggage, cleaning the house, draft note"things to do for hubby" to do while I'm away, arrange and instruct bills for hubby to pay online and offline , doing my homework for my " DIY" Hong Kong trip and still writing my post!!.I shopped at Trader Joe's last week after visit Marshall and Linen & Things. This trader Joe's is just 3 miles from my home. I like Trader Joe's unique foods

Look what I found there!! Matcha Green Tea Mix!!.
Ready cooked dinner meal, just microwave and there you go...
Prepacked sushi
Trader Joe's own brand juice
Frozen food section
The sale person gave me tarte sample to try,it's not bad...
I also try some vegetarian chips
This is how the tarte look like in whole.
Frozen food section...Vegetable Burger
Dessert section
More desert
Frozen Asian food section, just microwave and you have your dinner ready to serve!!
Ready to eat Asian rice..The price is not bad at all.
All vacuum pack tuna, swordfish, cod fish, catfish and etc...I like to get my tuna here to make sushi
Cookies on the top shelf ,Asian sauces and paste at the bottom shelf
Trader Joe's carried alot of ready cooked Asian food that no other store sell
Love this String beans or french beans.Depend where you live and how you want to call it ,it's still the same beans.Actually Trader Joe's frozen Green beans is better in price and quality than fresh green beans we found in our local market. It's come from French!!.
I bought this artichoke once and it's really good.Usually what we bought at green market it's a whole artichoke and we can't eat the outside layer leaves.I still prefer to get the heart artichoke.
Look at this Thai's product price!!..What a great buy!.
This is my latest purchase...not much since I'm going away..My kitchen is going to close soon.Let me tell you what happen to me when I was in Trader Joe's taking all these photos.A guy approached me and introduce himself."Hi,I'm ABC working here as manager".He keep looking at my camera.I quickly sound apologetic.."eerrhh,sorry sir,I should ask your permission to take the photos here but don't worried I'm just posting the photo in my blog not for sale".Then the manager feel bad and blushing,he said "oh!!.it's OK." he said and quickly walk away..I quickly put my camera inside my bag..I don't feel comfortable after been question..On my way to the cashier,a overhear 2 woman talking, one of the woman said she want to take some photo for her work.I quickly warn her that she should ask permission because I was been question by the manager. But she ask her friend to pretend as a model,I guess she refused to ask for permission.Well, that is not my problem.I thought it's nice of me to warn her.I guess not!!..
I didn't take some products like cereal, nuts and beans. It's my fault,I should know better not asking permission in the first place.I know some big supermarket doesn't mind, but who know Trader Joe's have different policy!!

beachlover,
We have Trader Joe here in Richmond too but I have never been shopping there... Aren't they a little expensive than the grocery store?

Gert,I like their nut and fish product. The price for those is cheaper than regular supermarket.Beside that the quality is much better.

sue:
Usually supermarket/dept store here doesn't care but I think TJ is really unique and they don't wanna other to copy their products,I guess

BBO:
U welcome:)

Here ppls is much better,if they really don't wanna you to take the photo, they will inform you nicely but won't kick you out!!.But usually we have to ask first as courtesy

Try to buy nut, prepack food, frozen vege and frozen fish at Trader Joe's.Their product price is not bad and quality is much better.I don't buy my perisable or regular stock at TJ,just some unique items.U see like the Thai's Red Fish Curry, they only sell for $1.45 a pack. It's really cheap!!Just open, microwave and eat wt rice,,there is your dinner for $1.45!!

I don't think it is about copying their products - one can always take the products home to do that. I think it is about the shopowner protecting himself in case you were taking photos of something "bad" that can affect his business. Maybe if you tell them you are taking photos for you blog to tell your readers how much you like their products......they may even thank you for promoting their products!
Just my opinion.
Keep up the good work. Love the pictures.
