Look at what I stock!!

I'm going to show you what have I stocked so far...I mean can foods...The reason is I'm going away for a long vacation with Mishu. So in order for hubby to survived alone at home,he need some food and drink.Well,as many of you said he can get food easily in New York, that right!!..But the problem is my dear hubby don't know how to budget and just wasting $$$ away....He won't buy his food or drink at supermarket or inexpensive store...He famous store is 7-11....just few step away from our home!!..Isn't it 7-11 is a convenience store?....hence , it's so conveniences so does the price..convenience expensive!!!.
I don't encourage hubby to drink carbonate soda but if I don't buy him soda from supermarket,he will eventually buy from 7-11 store..When he buy a cup is like I'm buying a cartoon which contain of 12 can!!..He said plain water is for shower not drinking!! Typical American!!. Last week sale...Cola cola 5 carton for $11.00 only...what a good buy, right?.These soda have to store downstairs...I can't find anymore storage room for it...Garage full of clutters.. Some can food which I bought on the weekend..I really filled up every corner of my cabinet and pantry.

Look at the side, more pasta and can soup..Paste on sale too ...5 boxes for $4.00..
Hubby favourite food...Scallop potatoes...another food cabinet..You see the door can't even close tight.
Pasta sauce in bottle..Just open and heat up with microwave....as easy as ABC!!..Even a child can do it!!

Look closer...more pasta sauce inside this cabinet.....hubby won't run out of sauce!!
Another pantry above my stoves...more food.....I dunno if he want to cook the ready prepare rice with seasoning.....just in case when he get bored with other can food he can cook Spanish rice!! But i doubt it:(
More can food...all bean and fish....this can seat here for a long time..I think some have to throw away ...especially the turkey gravy!!.
New purchase the other day!!.I have no place to store it anymore..
Any Spam!!..Hubby love tuna fish but must buy BUMBLE BEE brand!!...other brand is shitty he said!! hahaha!!..Yes Bumble Bee is some time double or tripe expensive than other brand too.
Ice Tea mixed and Mayo is a must in my home!!.I bought Hellman brand but he said the mayo is like drinking milk,so watery...Walmart brand is cheap and good!!
More bottle soda and Arizona Ice Tea with Green Tea and ginseng...
These soda I store at the deck but due to the weather is freezing hubby moved it back in side dinning room.I remember some can just burst all over..
My Sunday Newspaper..Every Sunday hubby will get me Sunday newspaper,a cup of coffee and Mr Mc Donald breakfast,it's a ritual.......I ask him why 2 set newspaper again..He said he found one set on our driveway, maybe the delivery guy throw wrongly to our yard instead of his regular customer.
OK....time to removed coupon section and begin coupon cutting...
Look at what I accomplish!!..I start cutting coupon after I saw this woman is TV saying she save $500 a month by using coupon..Well,I see what that woman bought but I don't think she buy what she need, she just store away her stock in her big pantry and garage..I think that is not a bright or smart idea because she is letting her money gather dust in her pantry rather than seating in the bank to gain some interest .She buy with coupon just for the sake of saving $$$ using coupon. But she didn't get the whole picture about the saving what she need ..not what she want!!!.Well, that is my own opinion,of course!!.
Anyway,I used some coupon when I shop weekly to save the taxes implicated on my item...not much but still saving few buck..25 cents or $2.00 is still money!! hahaha!!..Now I sound like "Ah MO"(auntie)....that right !!After Mishu was born and we only have one income so ,any extra saving are welcome.I'm going to shop later with this coupon!!

OH MY GOODNESS! The supermarket shelves just moved to your home!

Haha. Hope hubby use up your stock, after all he still needs to take out the dishes, or a pot to heat things up, and make things. 7-11 sandwiches, burgers more convenient! Hehe.

Those cartons and cartons of soda .. aiyo, you know comes to my mind? Kencing manis! Careful oii!

Have a good day!

How nice, get to balik kampung, be safe.
Do remember to blog about your experience and the food you get to eat :-)

You are too funny, Lesley. How did your hubby survive before he married you?? Haha!

I agree with Hooi Imm. Too much processed food in a stretch is bad for health owing to preservatives used. You could cook some dishes and freeze them in batches?

Looking forward to read about your eating experiences back home. :)

B4 my hubby married me,he just spend all his money away without a pinch on food..Now I'm managed our finance,so he have to listen to my advise!! hahaha!!..Actually,b4 he married,he don't have responsbility about household expenses, mortgage payment, loan and etc..so he don't care if he eat out everyday..but now he have Mishu..he have to save, not just spend away like he still single.
You have given me a good idea...let me ask him what he wanna me to cook and freeze for him.Atleast he not picky..but I think american use to eat can and frozen food all the time, they don't mind....Thank you for your suggestion:))

Sue Sue said...

Aiyor, you terror oh kept so much canned foods. I want to pengsan when I see this. LOL

Rita Ho said...

Lesley ... if your husband like pot roast or stew type dishes, they freeze really well. Vacuum packs are the best but containers work as well. Just remember to keep space in the containers for liquid expansion. Otherwise, may explode.

Passing on the lessons I learned. :)
