I was so pissed,furious and disappointed yesterday!!.Let me,tell you what is my first rambling here..A friend of mine "S" offer to arrange for my trip to Hong Kong when I ask for some advise and suggestion about location and hotel there.My flight stop over is at Hong Kong so I would like to take advantage to stay there for few days for sightseeing and touring..I don't have to paid extra for my flight,just some extra taxes.."S" told me that her uncle have a Travel Agency in Hong Kong.Ok...Since I never been to Hong Kong,I think this is a good idea that someone know the place well and he is also managed a travel agency.I keep remind "S" a month ago about my inquiry..But she didn't really reply my answer,she said she will look into it.I give her the detail of my departure date and so on...I asked for her uncle phone number since he have a Travel Agency and I'm the customer.This is bussiness,not a favour!!.I think it's better for me to ask all the questions with him directly.How about the hotel price,the day tour and the attraction..I have to know all the detail before I depart from here,right??.
Last night I called her again because I need to paid my air ticket to my agent .My ticketing agent advise me to confirm about my stay in Hong Kong before I confirm with her the date of my departure from here.She said I might not find the hotel because of Chinese New Year.

"S" did return my call,said she is calling her uncle NOW!!..What now??.I told her a month ago and keep remind her about my trip when ever I can..Well,she told me that her uncle said the hotel he is looking for me are over $200 USD!!!..Of course,it's almost near CNY now,all good and reasonable price hotel was booked by now!! ..I'm fuming like you could never imagine!!..How could you do this to me??.I'm depart from NY less than 2 weeks!!..but I didn't said it loud to her.
I told her.........it's OK....I take care this matter on my own now..I didn't scream at her or said any ugly word to her but she can feel that I'm not happy..Of course,I'm not happy!!..Actually I'm furious......very furious and disappointed..She should tell me in the first place that she can't do as she promised me.I'm OK with that.At least I still have time to do my homework or book the hotel myself....
After 5 minutes,she call me again,said her uncle try to look for cheaper rate hotel..Well,at the same time I'm looking online at the Internet..I see some price is lower than what her uncle offer me at the same location.Again I told her I will buy my hotel and tour from Internet....I told her the price in Internet is much lower ...well,she said go ahead,buy from Internet..I guess I have to by this time.
After 2 hours research online ,compare the price and location ,I managed to grab a 4 Star hotel in Mongkok,Kowloon.
This experience is a good lesson for me to learn.I always don't like to depend others to do my planning,I prefer to plan myself all the detail and itinerary about my trip.I hate people who don't keep their promise.Or don't have the common sense at all..If you can't do as you promised,it's OK to tell me in advance,I'm happy to make other arrangement....*sigh*...Let me cool down first before I continues my second rant....
