Turkey,Dried Oyster and Dried Scallop Congee

What do you do with turkey bone after you removed the meat?.As usual, the bone go to the trash but this year my MIL told me that she usually make soup from it.Well,I thought she suggested to me , she like turkey soup. After boiling the turkey bone with 4 liter of water for an hour ,I invite my MIL to have a bowl but she said "No Thanks"!!.WTF!!..okay la,she just talk riddle to me....hmmm.. she told me about her yesteryears, when she cook turkey she will make soup from the bone but not asking me to make soup for her..ok...ok.maybe I misunderstood her message or I took her words too serious?..Well....so what to do with whole pot of turkey soup??.I saw few blogger make turkey soup, add in rice and called turkey rice soup. But mine soup have celery, onion and carrot..So the idea of making congee is perfect for this whole pot of heavy fragrant turkey soup.I use Carlrose or sushi rice to make congee which is more soft and easy to break down.. Did you see other thingy beside turkey meat?..what is that??..Yes,it's dried scallop and dried oyster.Believe me,it's really good and sweet..I just add some salt, then serve with whire pepper.

We...yes that Mishu and me finished the whole pot of congee.
I wash and soaked dried oyster and dried scallop overnight before add into boiling congee..Try to cook congee with your left over turkey bone soup base..It's really good...freezing cold weather....A nice bowl of warm turkey congee are welcome anytime during winter time:)

Wah, your congee so "hor liao"! The amount of dried oysters and dried scallops you put in there plus the turkey stock, of course very sweet and delicious! I would love a bowl pls!

Try to use calrose rice,it's much better, more 'wat" texture.Sushi rice take shorter time to cook, just 30 mintes on stove and it's look like I'm cooking in pressure cooker.I bought a 20 lbs of sushi rice,I might as well used it.

I like my meal"gau gau" not plain one hehehe!!..my tongue like stronger smell.Furthermore,I bought few pound of oyster last year, don't have the chance to use,so I might as well add in 'chok"!!..A bowl ,no problem:)
