Tean's Bak Kut Teh

We have wacky freezing weather with rain these days.Imagine, below 32 plus F at night a 40 plus F at day time.If possible I rather stay at home and bundle up.I hate winter especially when the heater is going whole day long. It's make me uncomfortable and give me headache most of the time.Even though I been here for many many moons, but still I'm not use to winter cold.So last week,I decide to make "Bak Kut Teh" for both of us....Mishu and Mommy!!.Hubby hate herbal smell...he said stinky but I said good fragrant!!.I have some pork rib leftover from BBQ,so I might as well use it to boil BKT.I used prepacked BKT by Tean's,on top of that I add some "K-chi" to make is sweeter.Mishu love to eat "K-chi" when she drink soup.
Tean's Bak Kut Teh packet contain two individual sachet.I prefer my BKT stronger,so I use 2 sachets. The cooking method is self explanatory at the back of the packet.Easy and simple.Tean's products sell everywhere in Asian supermarket but if you can't get this product in your area, just go to mytasteofasia online store.

Before I add the ribs in the soup,I blanched with hot water to removed the fats. But still some fats will eventually come out in long hours simmering.I love to eat with cut Thai's bird chili with soy sauce on the side.
Hmmmm...Mishu dare to eat Shitake mushroom.Actually she like it,she even ask for more after she finish her portion.
100 Plus with "BKT"
Mommy should cut shitake room into small pieces instead just throw the whole piece into the soup...lazy ma...Look Mishu struggle with Shitake!!
Finish,Finish!!..Mishu ask for more Shitake..Finger dipping soup too.....hahaha!!

Has Mishu eaten BKT with "eu char koay"? My son is in love with "eu char koay" and he loves to dip it into porridge. Must cook BKT one of these days and see if he likes it. Where did you buy Tean's BKT?

Mishu is such a good eater, guess you now have an eating buddy.

LCOM:Thanks:)yeah,Tean's BKT is better than other brands that I had try so far.I'm sorry I tot myTOA carry Tean's BKT,just realise they didn't.I try Claypot brand but not as good as Tean's.Clayspot brand more like stewed instead.Maybe you can request Ray to carry Tean's.
