I have no idea how to define this??.Acorn squash,Japanese pumpkin,turban squash or buttercup squash??.It's weird looking outside but it's not bad taste after cooking.

Mishu keep asking me to give her soup.She said" Mommy drink soup""drink soup".I try to figure out what kind of soup should I make for her in this windy and raining day.I go to my pantry look for something that she like and healthy.I have plenty of can clam chowder and tomato soup but I really don't wanna her to drink can soup.Her daddy who like milky can soup.That the reason I store can soup in case he looking for soup. Then I remember I have plenty of potato which I bought month ago.I bought a 10 pound local grow potato which sold for $1.99.Yes!! 10 lbs for $1.99,so I grab a packet but have no idea what to do with it.I have to throw few piece away,rotten from the plastic bag moisture..Okay.....let make ABC soup but I don't have soup rib.Oh!! yesterday I just bought 10 chicken whole leg,that will do.Then I go inside my fridge looking for carrot but found none carrot.It's didn't cross my mind to get carrot for storing.Most of the time,my carrot have to go into trash after weeks..Then I saw 2 pumpkins sitting on the other dining table.oh!!..that right pumpkin instead of carrot??.never try it ,then why not??.I bought 2 pumpkin last week on sale for $1.00.Cheap,right??.I guess Halloween are over ,so all pumpkin is going for sale now.Here is goes.......
Ingredients:
2 chicken whole leg
1 pumpkin (peel and cut)
3 potato( peel and cut)
1 big onion
1/4 tsp seasalt
1/4 tsp white pepper
4 liter of waterMethod:
Heat 2 liter of water to blanch and remove the chicken fat.Wash the pot and then add 4 liter water ,bring to boil,add cut pumpkin and potato.After simmer for 30 minutes,add whole chicken and onion, reduce heat to medium.Let it simmer for another 1 hours.Add salt and white pepper to taste before serve.
It's quite good using pumpkin to replace carrot.Instead pumpkin cook so thoroughly than carrot.As we know that carrot bring sweetness,so do pumpkin.

I wish both my girls love chinese soup... All they wanted is chicken & stars... I boiled ABC before but they didn't like it... ;(

Very creative, to use pumpkin to substitute the carrot! It's good that she loves soup, did you try Dong Quai herbal soup on her? If she also love this soup, lagi bagus, since this is women soup, can "bor"(Hokkein) the body.

I guess,I suap Mishu to drink soup ever since she know how to eat,that the reason she like chinese soup.U know what ,try to give chinese simple soup for both of your gals everyday,eventually one day they will like it.Just use slow cooker be u leave for work,then when u come home,it's ready to drink.I believe like and dislike are not born.Maybe next time it's easy when they are preteen,they have to take herbal soup after P.Elliot encourage me to teach Mishu chinese culture,said when one day Mishu married and give birth I have to do confinement for her.hahaha!!.

I feed her BKT too.hahaha!! so early for her to 'bor' not even 3 year old??..I suggest to feed her birdnest when she was newborn,my mom said I'm gila,where got ppls feed baby birdnest..talking about birdnest I think right now it's the time to make her a bowl.
