Yes ,today I cook fish curry again but this time I make Indian curry instead of the regular since I'm thinking about Deepavali.As usual ,I use Boston Mackerel which I bought from Hong Kong supermarket in the city .I like Boston mackerel,because it's similar with Ikan Kembung,furthermore it's quite cheap,just $1.59 per pound..Maybe,next time I will use other fish like sea trout,mullets or blue fish which I find interesting but never try.Yesterday I shop at Indo-Pak to get some candle nut but too bad they don't even know what is candle nut.The store owner ask me to bring him some sample if I happen to find it somewhere.So my Indian Fish Curry have to cook without candle nut.I used Baba's Fish curry powder ,plus some of my own made ingredients.Mostly all Baba's Curry Powder have all the ingredients you need for your cooking.The key is mustard seeds,a must for Indian Curry!.Here's it's goes:

Ingredients:
4 pcs Boston Mackerel
1 lbs Okra
2 pc tomato(cut quartered)
3 pc long brinjal(cut)
1 large onion(cut quartered)
1/2 cup Baba's curry powder
1 cube anchovies powder flavor
2 stalk curry leaves
2 can coconut milk (400 ml)
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 liter water
1/2 cup oil
Spices to blend:
10 cloves garlic
1 stalk lemongrass
5 pc shallot
1 inch ginger
5 long red pepper
100 gm dried pepper(soaked)
Method:
Heat oil in non-stick pot, fry blended ingredients until aromatic.Then add in Baba's Curry Powder,and continue to saute till oil rises to the top.Add water,and coconut milk ,let it simmer to boil.Add in all vegetable and seasoning,bring it to boil at high heat.Lastly add in fish ,just for 2-3 minutes.Don't over cook the fish,it's tend to get tough.Serve it warm with white rice or roti.
Note:This time I add more curry powder instead of chili oil from blended spices.It's really taste different with extra curry powder.The weather is so cold and freezing, so some curry is good to warm up our body and not easily fall sick.Mishu love curry fish too.She eat all my fish and I just have to eat gravy with rice.Poor Mummy.....

Beachlover, minta curry ikan sikit :) :) I like curry with ikan kembong. I have to arrange with Zue to go and visit you soon then you can masak for us :) :)
Looks delish! I cooked some assam fish yesterday too, using Delimas seafood paste though, hahaha...not as hard working as you. :P
Why do you live on the wrong coast lah?? If you were closer to me, I'd invite myself shamelessly to your house for makan2 :))

oh!! Popodum!!,I saw various brand and flavor in Indonesia good shelf but dunno which one is the right one,so never tempt to buy.I remember when I eat at India stall or pasar malam,the rice come with popodom..hmmmm...maybe should try I pack next time..You know Baba's brand Fish curry powder is really good,cuba masak kat rumah la,can use tilapiah
