Turkey Puff

What do you do with leftover Turkey after Thanksgiving?.Well,as usual Elliot eat with gravy and cranberry sauce for lunch and dinner for the last 2 days ago but still,there are plenty left.So I decide to use some Turkey meat and wrap with Empanadas skin.Instead of baking Empanadas as suggested on the package, I prefer deep fried.Since I was introduce to Empanadas by Chef Gertrude,I don't have to make myself puff skin.You can buy Empanadas in any supermarket store in frozen section.I used Goya brand but there is other brands as well.

I cut one big piece of Empanadas skin into 2 small size and fold the edges with curry-puff style
I just minced the turkey and onion,stirred fried with paprika,salt,pepper,sugar and cumin.Let it cool down for 20 minutes before wrapping with Empanadas skin to prevent the sauce from leaking.Just fried in deep fryer both side for 3 minutes each to get golden brown color.Then serve it warm.

I still have some turkey meat left. Is a good idea to make empanadas. I just made 'chap chye' with all the bones and wings :) The color of your empanadas is really nice and brown. Did you use your elec. deep fryer?

Aiyoh...for you easy la....just go to Pasar malam or makcik store,can get already..me have to wrap and cook myself!!if not I have to drive 40 miles to the store to buy ready make curry puff..but sometime I'm late also sell off...hahah!!

Yes,I use electric fryer with new oil...hmmm.I also use the bone to boil soup but not chap chai...here don't have kale..

OK...here the puff come...grab it!!..hehehe..it's really good wrapped as puff,the skin is really taste like curry puff skin,you should try it...

What is Empanadas?! Never heard of the word! I made sardine puffs a few weeks ago and I used the pie pastry1 Heheh, nice and flaky!

Must look for this empanadas! Now I regret! I gave away half of my left over turkey! :-(
