Look yummy and crispy,right??...Don't be afraid, give it a try at home. It's as easy as ABC..to make this wontan.

All Chinese restaurant in US,sell their fried wontan with this folding style.Their fried wontan come with red sweet sauce.Usually they use thicker wontan wrapper, not cantonese wontan wrapper as I show in my picture.

Picture # 10: Close up look..Usually this folding is more secure ,not afraid the ingredients to leak out while frying or steaming. You can prefried and store in freezer for a month or longer.Especially this type of storage for people in US who are always busy or working.Whenever you want to eat, just microwave for 5 minutes.Another short cut alternative.Ready to eat in 5 minutes meal!!Don't we all love Nugget or Burger??

Picture # 9:This is how it look after folding.Just arrange on a dry plate side by side.Do not top on each other. While waiting for the oil to heat up.

Picture #8:Press the unspread edge on top of the edge spread by egg tightly if not when fried it will easily break off. It's very messy when it break ,especially the oil need to sieve again before the next batch of frying.

Picture #7: Hold both edges together, press the edge with egg spread under the other edge tightly as shown in the picture.Arrange both edges at same level.

Picture #6:You can spread the edge with egg toward you or facing you, depend on your hand.If you're left handed, just adjust to your comfort way.

Picture #5:I use 1 beat up egg for sticking the edge.Just spread some egg on one side of the edge.

Picture #4:Fold in 1/2 of the wrapper as show in the picture.

Picture #3:I use table knife to fold 1/4 wrapper under the ingredients tightly as show in the picture.Sometime,I use chopstick but I think knife hold better.

Picture # 2: Fold the edge skin wrapper over the ingredients as show in the picture.

Picture# 1: Place the ingredients at the edge like the picture. Not too much, coz it's leak out or won't hold secure when you stick it together.Just 1/2 tsp amount. You can use square or round skin wrapped,it's same way to wrap.
Previously,I post my fried wontan and
zumurphyrecipe requested me to show her the photos of wrap wontan step by step. But at that time,I used up all my wontan skin.So today again I fried wontan for Elliot and Mishu. Both of them love fried wontan.I don't really fond of fried wontan, maybe I'm the one who cook it,don't have the mood to eat after all the preparation and cleaning.
I use minced pork(no offence Kak Zue),scallion, shrimp, white pepper, oyster sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil.The only meat I have is minced pork. You can use any meat you like...minced beef, minced turkey or minced chicken.I wish I know how to use camcorder and download here.Sadly,we have 2 camcorders but hardly use.Maybe I should buy the book "Camcorder for Dummies"....hahaha!!!..that true,we are really bad......
Well,at first I try to snap the photo myself while wrapping the wontan but until the #3 picture,I have big problem.I quickly yell for Elliot.I ask him to snap the photo while I wrap the wontan. He don't even know where is the snap button..huh!!yeah,he is that bad.So I have walk him through my digital camera first.Snap button, preview and action!! Okay..here you go..good job honey.I give him a thumb up after he finish snapping the photos.Fried Wontan for you later..He walk away happily..
Okay here is the step by step of wrapping wontan...especially for you
Kak Zue:).. All the best.
