Tean's Sambal Tumis Okra with Shrimp

Hot and Spicy crunchy okra, onion and red pepper.I like my vegetable green and crispy not well done.Beside that I like my shrimp with head attach, more tastly and juicy with shrimp flavour.I think the shrimp I bought at western supermarket like Walbaum and Stop and Shop have weird and flavourless taste.I prefer to get my shrimp from chinese seller in the city.Usually I just buy the 4-5 lbs in a box.

Look delicious right?.That right!!.I just eat the whole plate of okra with shrimp by myself. So good until I eat 2 big plates of white rice.I wonder when I should start my diet!!
When I meet with Gertrude in NYC,she point out Tean's Sambal Tumis on the rack.Said that we didn't see this new items from Tean's product. We all bought few packet each person.
Last week,Elliot went to Home Depot to get his stuffs. In our vicinity ,I counted that we have more than 6 Home Depot stores. So this time he want to drive to Selden Home Depot because he want to search for Honda motorcycle show room.Suddenly I saw a big indopak store with Grand Opening banner in the front store when we pass by.I told him that after Home Depot he have to stop for me at this store.Well,he did stop for me but stay inside my van with Mishu sleeping while I shopped at this store for half an hour.I noticed they have the same merchandise like patelbrothers .The price is not bad consider the location is in Long Island. The moment I saw a big box of green fresh okra,I quickly grab a plastic bag and pick the big size okra.So next time I know where to get my ghee and Basmati rice without driving to NYC.
I don't like petai as it show on the package ,eat once when I was kid.My grandma is very good cook ,she a Peranakan from Penang.I remember it's bitter until now I never try again. So I use Okra ,long red pepper, red onion to stir fry with sambal sauce.I add some tamarind powder ,fresh garlic, sugar and salt.I like my food hot and spicy. That long red pepper really spicy!!!.I didn't use all the sauce, still left 1/4 packet. It's said on the packet serve for 6- 8 person. It's really ample of sauce for 2 lbs of okra ,pepper and onion. It's so easy and simple to cook when I want to eat something from home. You can get it from mytasteofasia under Delimas brand. It's the same company from my understanding.I'm going to use the rest of the sambal sauce stir fry with shrimp asparagus.Yahooooooo!!
