Top Chandelier After remodel with hammer spray paint and candle sleeves..Changed frosted bulbs to clear one.Below is Before remodel with rusty and dirty crystal eyes drop .Which one look better??
Don't throw away old and rusty stuffs in your house. You can always modified and make it look new with some creative idea.Look at my chandelier, before clean up and make up,look so bad and untidy.Sometimes,we just want to buy new thing because we just see what the flyer advertised in there.I keep urge Elliot to change our chandelier when we bought our home from his mother..But he not really want to do it because he is very sentimental.Furthermore, his family who own mostly all our furnitures for almost many many years ago .We even inherited a set of hundred years old dining table and secretary table from his mother.Elliot not so keen for my suggestion to change the old chandelier. He said we rarely eat in the dining room. But to me it look so old and dirty. I want to change it to something look elegant which advertised in Ikea's or HomeDepot.
For a while,I accept the fact that he not going to replaced the old chandelier. One day, I removed the crystal glass dropping around it and surprisely found that the steel have beautiful crafted design on it.I gave him the idea of just remodelling it by spraying hammer paint on it and change all the sleeves. We bought candle design sleeves from Home Depot and paint from Walmart.Overall,we save almost a hundred dollars if we have the old one replaced. And now it look like a brand new one from Home Depot!!!.Actually,I read about remodel your old stuffs with budget from Better Home and Garden Magazine bhg which I subscripts monthly. It's a good and informative magazine for ideas and suggestion. Look at my chandelier before and after..Which one look better??

Beachlover, don't throw any of your old stuff away because you can take it to Antique Roadshow and get it appraise. Mana tahu it worth a lot of money like the dining table and secretary table. I remember seeing some table worth thousand and thousand of dollar.
I like the new chandeliar. More modern looking and just the black paint on the base. Great job beachlover.
